Watching

Swooped diving on to a leaf
With a bit of meat in his beaks
Perched and seated comfortably
Mane-eyed he looked downwardly
Left and right twice or thrice
His usual habit of hosting...
Up with his neck so majestically
He crowed for his friends "caw, caw"
Just not the story-way as you expect now
But cleverly securing his meat between his claws
For several times caw-cawed
Until a pigeon came too closer
Frightened the crow flew away
Missing his meat

Wonderful, a poem happens as we look around: nature, things, people, etc. Something like what I say in my poems under 'Happenings'. Is the jumbling of words deliberate or contributed by PH? I suspect deliberate. May you educate me.

Thank you very much Aniruddha Pathak. The jumbling of words are neither deliberate nor contributed. It is due to some technical problem I guess. This has happened in some more of my posts too.I corrected it several times. But it didn't work .My laptop is o.k.Thanks again for your visit and comments

So sad! Probably the crow must have been inviting its mate or friends to partake of the piece of meat in its beak. The way it secured the piece of meat between the claws while cawing was clever, yet sadly lost it when got intimidated by the presence of a pigeon! Beautiful observation and fine write!

Until a pigeon came too closer, the crow which was frightened flew away. This was amazing sequence observed and imagery was drawn. Revising this poem valued more...10

He crowed for his friends caw, caw Just not the story-way as you expect now But cleverly securing his meat between his claws For several times caw-cawed Until a pigeaon came too closer Frightened the crow flew away Missing his meat.......how a friend can sacrifice his share is nicely being depicted. Beautiful poem. Thank u madam.
