Sweet Land Of Liberty Poem by Sandra Feldman

Sweet Land Of Liberty

Rating: 5.0

Autumn,
Fallen leaves of destiny,
Crowd, the Eagle's nest,
How long will it take
To get to Life's crest?

Flying higher and higher
Some go thru life
Desperately searching
What is way too high,
Or too much.

We must always be humble
Accepting defeat
When it comes
But then get up,
Brush yourself off
And start up the hill,
Again!
In good faith and good will.

We are the lucky ones
For in our Country,
Liberty and opportunity
Still exist,
And the bald Eagle
Can expand, its vision
Of a free Country,
With free will,
So citizens unite
Don't fight each other,
Everyone benefits
When roses are planted
With love and good will.
