Sweet Tones
How good to hear your voice, precious loving tones
That quake the heart and race the blood
Inspiring thoughts to new majestic lofty heights.
Delighting my Muse rejoicing in your presence
Composing poems to your charm, wit, and beauty
Knowing wealth of love and pleasure you provide
Brightening each passing day with your voice.
Companion and soulmate traveling our epic journey
Sharing both the good and bad times as they come
Never doubting, rebuking, questioning always accepting
Making my life so bright and joyful as a summer's day
Overwhelming me with tides of happiness and delight
No longer to fear the ever looming Great Darkness
For with you I know that love survives the grave.
