Nothing is endless:
Promises given to fail,
Snowing in April...
Lilacs are blooming again,
Balmy as life after death.

Hi Galina, A marvelous tanka. Rarely do we get to read tanks. Tanka is a very exquisite form of poetry, an exercise to contain an ocean of emotions in just a handful of words. That is what you have done. Life after death is a very poignant concept, coming in Indian philosophy and myths. Bhagavat Gita says, the Aatma (soul) never dies. The soul changes discards old (jeerna) bodies and accepts new ones. There is the famous shloka (stanza) : Vaasaamsi jeernani yatha vihaya Navaani gruhnati naroparani tatha sareerani vehaaya jerrna- nyanani samyati navani dehee. Very good write. Obliged. A 100+++
