Your body is warm against mine.
Our hearts beating in time.
Your hands trail my sides,
and now there's nothing to hide.
We breathe slowly and unsure.
No longer will we be pure.
Our hearts are growing,
and their true colors showing.
We lean into one another,
our lips just inches from each other.
Your hands cup my face,
and I am swept into space.
Your lips touch mine barely,
your kiss is soft and done carefully.
I pulled away hoping you'd come after,
you didn't but you looked happier.
Those words slipped. The forbidden words.
'I love you' they were out like a free bird.
You stared and looked deep into my eyes,
'I love you, too' and I knew it was true, no lies.
You held me close, and I wanted to stay.
I leaned in and whispered, 'Forever and Always.'
Very Nice! I was starting to lose control! ! ! Just needs a space between first two words. :) And maybe more space between you two! ! ? Yes! To My Poem List Bri :)
Thank you for finding my mistakes. As always I appreciate your commentary and feedback. :)

Hi Chryssie, Very beautiful poem on love. Wonderfully rendered. Reminds me of my first love. But, I have objection to a few phrases you use: No longer will we be pure- Not True at all. In fact love makes you pure; purer..... I believe, this is what we should clearly assimilate... Those words slipped. The forbidden words. - Yes, it is natural that words slip when you are to express your love for the first time; for the nth time. I do Agree. But, they are not THE FORBIDDEN WORDS . On the contrary, they are the most beautiful words ever spoken on earth. Whether spoken by Eve to Adam or by Crystal Pierce to her lover! ! I have no doubt, those are the most beautiful and heartfelt words I have spoken to anybody in my whole life.. Take care. All the best. A perfect 100+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ -unnikrishnan
