Teenage Longing Poem by shakil ahmed

Teenage Longing

Rating: 5.0

Teenage Longing

On your stringent grip, I hid
My teenage longing
Your nimble face like the petals of rose
Drenched with briny tear drops
Still looms in the mirror of my heart.
I saw the glint of lightning
At your pair of blue eyes
At the end of a terrible stormy night.
Ensnared by the beauty of glaucous eyes
I anchored my heart in your soft quay
I saw your eyeballs
Diving like dolphins of deep water
Hurling arrow after arrow, and
Rending my soft bosom
Touched the core of my heart.
You gyved me long ago
By the invisible strings of love
In the twilight of crescent moon
When a deep urge crawls in my mind
To cast an imprint on your honeyed lips
Enjoying the gusto of rippling youth
I find your shadow is wandering
Everywhere in my courtyard
Jeering at me with a derision
And I collapse on soft puddle
Like a wet bird with rumpled plume.

Amazing imagery to depict a long-lost love. An old memory coming back to life again. Puts the reader in nostalgic mood too. Just beautiful. A sure 10.

Nimble face is like the petals of rose. Teenage carries many memories of love. Teenage longing is well presented in this amazingly drafted poem. Love brings emotion.10
