Telling Time Poem by Sandra Feldman

Telling Time

Rating: 5.0

Time that melts
All life away,
Can't it come another day?
I would love to kill all time,
But no matter what I do
I can't get my message thru
So I've come to know the truth,
Time is really killing us,
Whether wanting it or not,
We're all riding on Time's bus.

I am totally in love with this poem, Sandra. I know that is odd of me but everything about this poem rings out from the rhythm to the perfect rhymes, to the idea driving it forward to the choice of words and tone. Time that melts All life away, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -now that is an elegant and powerful opening if I ever heard one! ! ! ! ! I so agree with the middle lines and then you give us a bare-to-the-bones truthful closing Time is really killing us, Whether wanting it or not, We're all riding on Time's bus. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -you sang it true, sister! 10++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

As the sun laps up the morning dew, time melts the remainder of our days, and we are powerless, no matter what we do, well written Sandra!
