Terrible Loneliness Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Terrible Loneliness

Standing at your side no more except when I go to the cemetery,
but you cannot hold or kiss me, a terrible loneliness filling
this heart.

A bittersweet aroma of what used to be our life together my
dear, mind not able to grasp this thing called death, it is
far beyond my understanding.

Learning nothing from your death except sorrow, sadness,
loneliness and feeling the emptiness of abandonment that
has been left within this heart of mine.
