In the calm and tranquil night
The weary traveller
Was deep asleep,
At midnight.....
Someone whispered to him,
'Will you listen to me this time? '
The traveller gently replied in his sleepy realm,
'I will always listen to thee,
That's my sacred duty.'
The last line is the essence of this excellent poem. Appreciated the justification of the title!
When your better half calls for your duty in the silent night, you must rise to your duty. Beautiful poem
