The Birds And The Beetles Poem by Glen Kappy

The Birds And The Beetles

Rating: 5.0

The worms and birds and beetles
on our apples have not munched a little.
I thought them all until I found
snails suctioned to the apples on the ground.

A magnificent expressive poem in its sheer brevity. Top score.

The birds, beetles and worms together enjoy the fruits of a tree specially apples, perhaps, more than human beings do. It is like nature's get together or a party. That's the vision i got after reading this cute poem. :)

Hi, Geeta! Thank you for this comment and for your note to me. Still in D.C. It’s early morning. I do hope to get a better yield of apples from our tree this year—a fairer division between us and the critters. -Glen
