The Bombs That Exploded In The Bataclan On Friday, Nov 13th,2015

Rating: 5.0

The bombs that exploded in the Bataclan
on Friday Nov 13th,2015

there is now a lawsuit pending concerning that day.

the nine perpetrators had been wearing bomb belts,
and all but one exploded
the lawsuit is against him today
about the bombing of the Bataclan,

in the court he said he is an I.S. fighter, in the eyes of the government he is just a terrorist. He has been in captivity since 2015 and he says he has been treated like a dog for all those 6 years.

We (my fellow poetess and I) escaped that bomb
because we left earlier than planned
if we left later, all roads to the airport were closed
and our taxi could not get through.
She had never been to Paris,
I wanted to show her Paris
and that was why we had gone
to see Paris for a long weekend

There were 130 deaths.

Our hotel was right in this neighbourhood.

our stay in that hotel was till Saturday November 14,2015

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Poet's Notes: The Bataclan (French pronunciation: [bataklɑ̃]) is a theater located at 50 Boulevard Voltaire in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, France. Designed in 1864 by the architect Charles Duval, the name refers to Ba-ta-clan, an operetta by Jacques Offenbach. It has been a rock music venue since the early 1970s. On November 13,2015,130 people were killed in a coordinated terrorist attack at the theater.

I do not understand the mentality of suicide bombers who kill innocent people going to a theatre or other mass event like a church. Madness.

That's a chronicle of a rough experience for sure, while speaking for those who lost their voice.

My prose poem is not as I wished it would be realized, I think I am still very emotive when writing this.BUT I hope you will understand that IF we went at the flight scheduled time, we would experience that bombing in the Bataclan, since our hotel was nearest to the Bataclan

We enjoyed a long weekend in Paris, but all of a sudden we wanted to leave Paris earlier, we went at earliest time to the airport, as we know later, all roads to the airport were closed, IF we went at the scheduled time of our flight
