The Choice - Poem by Angel Morrell
God gave me a gift, many children do not get,
He gave me the choice to make my wish..
To go through life with no mother to love me,
Or to have someone special to always stand beside me.
The day you came into my life is the day my choice began.
Who would have known what a wonderful feeling it is to win.
God sent me an Angel to love and guide me
and teach me right from wrong,
God sent me you to hold me tight and help me to be strong.
God knew what I wanted and needed, the choice was not hard
I needed you, my mother, to be my shining star.
You give me unconditional love, that only a true Mother can give,
I thank God above for giving me that gift.
I love you, Mama, you are my mother through and through,
If God gave me the choice again- IT WOULD ALWAYS BE YOU!
