The Fight That Ended It All Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Fight That Ended It All

Rating: 5.0

I woke up to the sounds of a storm
And it reminded me of the times we fought
It frightened me
Not because the way it came about
But how it ended
With tears of blood
Seeping down from my mouth
As another tooth went
I had no choice but to leave
To a sunnier place without you

This is really tragic, so sorry. There are no words to calm nor accept this type of inhuman hurt!

From such tragic abuse comes such a powerfully effective poem! LeeAnn, I'm sorry that you had to endure such physical and emotional abuse. May you NEVER experience it again!

In this well written poem, I like the way the storm's chaos is ciontrasted with a chaotic relationship.5 stars

One of your best, LeeAnn. I've read it three times now. It angers me. It saddens me. I want to take the storm away. I want to cradle you. The only good thing is that it is now in the past.
