The Final Plea Poem by Patricia Gale

The Final Plea

Rating: 5.0

My soul is darken by your way
The nights I have laid awake and prayed
Hoping someday
Somehow you could be saved

From this awful noose that tightens daily around your neck
You choose to follow a thing you call love
You are standing on a rotting deck
Just one step closer just one small shove

And off into a deep dark hell you shall fall
Love is caring and kind not one that is cruel
But you think of him as ten feet tall
And that leaves you to be the fool

If only you could grasp the mirror
And see the broken eyes that look back at you
Then perhaps you would hold your life dearer
The time is near you can make it through

An aching bleeding heart is your song
Stop before it reaches the final note
Live your life happy and long
Release yourself and hear these words I have wrote

From love these words were penned
And tear stained they remain
Please I plea do not let this be your end
Cease this madness and this eternal pain

Graphic and caring poem, difficult to save everybody all we can do is pass on our thoughts which you have done here so eloquently.

Wow Patricia, this is so powerful, it is so hard sometimes for friends in love to see the light, I hope yours does, this message is universal though, it resonates deeply. Great write! HG: -) xx

My first poem of the day and boy I chose well :) . A tenderly written piece of warning for a friend being badly treated... how eloquent. Caring, considerate and insightful. t x
