The Gambler, The Lover Poem by Kewayne Wadley

The Gambler, The Lover

Without reply
Went the voice weeping through mornings dawn
Mildly calling the stars seen by the stratosphere
Could the clouds water the heavens with its tears
Tears of delight
Would the ears hear such delights
One could only imagine as the sight of you
Reaches to touch the moon
The stars
Reason mingles above your head
That bright sphere that follows as you go
By chance have you noticed
The way the clouds grasp the blue that surrounds it
The waves that caress each ocean
As it finds rest as it lays
without reply
