The Good Samaritan And The Thief Poem by Paula Glynn

The Good Samaritan And The Thief

THE GOOD SAMARITAN

The good Samaritan
Always giving and kind
With an angelic soul
That is all knowing and wise
Knowing God loves all his people

The good Samaritan
Giving love and affection
Helping the hungry feed
Helping the blind see
Helping the deaf hear

He learnt his lesson long ago
And now he blends with white light
Having a supernatural sight
Seeing into the future
Seeing into the past

He understands human emotions
He understands passion and devotion
His arms wrap around the world
Your prayers are always heard
His spirit destiny for the world

He gives love without reward
He runs every good cause
Every charity his ambition
As he wakes one morning and gets in his car
Starting the ignition

THE THIEF

The thief knew the good Samaritan
The thief knew him the one
Knew the good Samaritan sent by God
But the thief felt no love
Only anger and material greed

Money he did want and need
Prepared to watch others bleed
The attack, the murder
The pain and the fear
Not yet knowing justice near

The thief never a good Samaritan
The thief with no heart
And no respect or quality
Doing poorly in education
Doing poorly in regular life

So when he bumped into
The rare good Samaritan
He knew God his enemy
He knew God would steal
His long term thieving skills

So he got revenge on God
Putting a bomb in the car
The only desired object
The good Samaritan treasured
But would now would use and die

THE NEXT CHAPTER

But God knew all this
And forgave the thief
The good Samaritan
Safely in the beautiful heaven
Singing with all the beautiful angels

A heaven free of blood and fear
A heaven with blooming flowers
Magical fairies and colourful mermaids
Heaven full of real love and rainbows
Where only happiness is found

Sending love from above
Knowing his good Samaritan
To feel a holy relief
That justice would be served
Of a life the thief did not deserve.
