The Hierarchy Of Angels Poem by Paula Glynn

The Hierarchy Of Angels

The angel to be a benevolent celestial being
Acting as intermediaries between God and humanity
Roles of the angels
To protect and guide human beings
Carrying out the tasks of God,

The Abrahamic religions
Seeing angels in hierarchies
Their names Michael and Gabriel
Titles such as seraph and archangel
And theological study of angels
Known as angelology
A popular study of celestial beings,

Angels falling from heaven
To be unwise fallen angels
Where mistakes they did make
But God will revive their soul
And back to heaven
Their angelic souls for God to take
Back into the ether
Back into paradise
Where they never fall again,

Angels to have the white wings of
Birds, stretching far across
The blue of the sky
Feathers to not fall
But sometimes left in a scattering
To send a message of hope
And a sign they're there
They to wear their halos too
With much pride,

And the grace of God
Who sends his angels
To share his love
Send these celestial beings
Down from above
And for God to send his doves
To signify God's love
A message of peace and unity,

The word angel to come from
Old English ‘engel'
And the Old French
‘angele', derived from
Late Latin ‘angelus'
To translate into
The word ‘messenger'

For angels are always known
Angels are always there
And always share
Their love and joy
Sending hope to humanity
For God did create the world
And God created every
Man and boy,
Woman and girl,

Angels sent to help
Those in need
To stop people hurting
And for no one to bleed
For angels help everyone in need
Their angel wings
Their halo
To shine from that blue, blue sky
And tell of unity,

Tell of friends and family
Their destiny heaven
Where no hell waits
For this is God's world
Where there is no hate
Where everyone relates
When it comes to love
And souls go to paradise
God to save all souls that he takes,

And heaven is a place on earth
Where no devil waits.
