for this installation you will need a wide mouthed jar

fill it with pink sand

on top, a few abandoned beach chairs

very colorful. very tiny and convincing.

but where is the sea?

you must imagine the sea.

put a few coral shells on top of the pink sand

make waves near the light with your hands

this was once sea.

expectantly look beyond the jar

like magic the sea will appear

you will hear drifting music

you will hear mermaid refractions

you will imagine the stars.
