The Lacerated Diary Poem by Matthew Pratt

The Lacerated Diary

Rating: 2.8

Bookends almost adjoining, now
For all that's not of florid inditement,
Are words unwritten sulphurously

Follow my path of pages, you'll see
In this winter smitten land, forsaken,
My crimson ink infused in snow

Love the line winter smitten land and your use of alliteration path of pages! Nicely done! However, I'm an English teacher so I have some advice about your word usage (poetic license aside) : there is no adverb form of sulphorous, the collocation for imbued is with, not on and there is no such word as inditement, did you mean indictment? This is constructive criticism so I hope it does not offend you...it is well meaning.
