The Last Piece Poem by Neel Bhattacharyya

The Last Piece

Rating: 4.8

The last, but not the least
That's what we have heard
So, tell me
Ever have you seen a chessboard
With the pawn standing
After the king has fallen?

I know you will call me silly
My thinking awkward and queer,
But that's how it is
In all games, the big or the small
The pawn must fall before the king has fallen.

Very interesting analogy, I've never thought of that before, you've made me think now. Your poem has nourished my thirst for knowledge. Give this one a 10! Thank you for sharing this insightful poem, Neel. RoseAnn

A well articulated piece of poetry, nicely encapsulated and insightfully penned with conviction. The tree of Liberty is indeed nourished by the blood of the compatriots. Lovely poem bristling with knowledge. Thanks for sharing Neel. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
