The Living Catacomb Poem by Naseer Ahmed Nasir

The Living Catacomb

Rating: 4.3

We're slipping into
the unknown descents deep inside
With the continuous razing of
the beings, the mounds
of our bodies
have reduced to half and
the souls to less than a quarter

The germs of duplicity
have infested our
reproductive system
Generation after generation
we now give birth to
the social Lilliputians
and to gain height
we trade in the imported crutches
and make power-feeds
for the early growth of
the sycophant-chicks

We are the living catacomb
waiting for our dead and;
the walking-dead we are
who rejoice just by looking
at the big funeral processions
of our own! !
