The Lunar Sight Tonight Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

The Lunar Sight Tonight

Rating: 5.0

The Lunar Sight Tonight

Tonight the moon is in its waning Gibbous,
maybe she will wear a pretty pink precious
with soft lighting and mild lustrous

Unfortunately, there is no full moon tonight,
but you can still enjoy the beauty of the moon from this sight
during its current phase, soft with tender light

For more accurate moonrise and moonset,
just pay attention before you go to bed
the moon rises today at 1: 22 am Amsterdam night
So keep an eye on that beautiful moon sight.

At 9: 22 am she will set
I'm sure you're already out of bed
just look carefully at the sky
you shall surely see her, don't ask me how and why!

The lunar sight from my side tonight
as I told you, not full, but soft and tender light

Poet's Note:
The term "waning" indicates that the Moon is getting smaller,
while "gibbous" refers to its oval-to-round shape
