Man from Porlock
Dressed all in black
Black fedora
Covering grave
Stoned face searching
My frozen stare
Man from Porlock
Nonthreatening
Disconcerting
Disrupting sleep
And artistry
Stole my talent
An enigmatic work, the man is mysterious and familiar, could he be the sandman as a foreman disrupting the muse of dreams. Great work, Coleridge was an amazing poet inspiring this amazing poem thank you!

There's a reminder here of the connection between sleep and death. Do artists fear sleep because it represents time during which creativity seems to drift away...into another world? Great work, Richard. To myfavourites.
M.J., you ask some great and tough questions. And some of your queries lead to inspired poems! Thanks so much for adding it to your favourites. That always means so much to me!
