The Man From Porlock Poem by Richard Wlodarski

The Man From Porlock

Rating: 5.0

Man from Porlock
Dressed all in black
Black fedora
Covering grave
Stoned face searching
My frozen stare

Man from Porlock
Nonthreatening
Disconcerting
Disrupting sleep
And artistry
Stole my talent

There's a reminder here of the connection between sleep and death. Do artists fear sleep because it represents time during which creativity seems to drift away...into another world? Great work, Richard. To myfavourites.
