The Messenger Poem by louis rams

The Messenger

The messenger

He felt GODS presence when he opened his eyes not believing he was still alive
By all rights he should have been dead as he laid in the bed.
The onlysurvivor from that fatal crash and all he had gotten was whiplash.
The two cars that collided was totaled on sight, and bodies were thrown to the left and right.
He said when it happened he was in deep prayer - when the other car came out of no where.
He heard the crushing metal and the screams, and their faces could not be seen.

The firemen said when they had taken him out of the car with the " jaws of life "
And around his head there was an Aura of light.
He recalled being in a peaceful place and saw his mother and fathers face.
He saw his wife and children in deep prayer and reflections
Of the life that they did share.
He felt someone pulling him back down fromabove, to the ones
On earth that he did love.
As he descended he heard a voice clearly say " you will not die on this day "
The doctors say how he survived they do not know
Was it " cause he was in prayer " or " just not his time to go "
WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I believe from the moment you are born your time is mapped out. His time was not up. I would like to know my last day in advance. Thank You Louis. Bless you
