The New Eden Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The New Eden

Rating: 5.0

You're my Adam as I am yr Eve
Let the rebirth of Eden begin
Where harmony would live for eons
And hate would be banished
As no one would use its evils
And let Lilith crawl into
The vice of the forbidden apple
It will be her demise
As her kiss becomes a distant remembrance
The taste of poison is lost to time
And she'll never cross into Paradise
Hurting no one but herself

Profound, LeeAnn. For rebirth to happen there must be death. Perhaps the world is right now making possible the conditions that will give way to rebirth. Brilliant verse!

A fascinating poem, but a poet's note would be helpful to explain who Lilith is. Thanks for posting.
