What a excellent poem! One that I can relate to perfectly. It expresses exactly how I feel now after all the great expectations have finally subsided to succumb to the reality of it all. Though how you described the carefree childhood days of long ago was said so perdectly, and in perfect flow. You are an amazing poet, Val. I always look forward to the next one! Thank you!

A fantastic poem, really like it, if we knew then what we know now, it would have made our growing years a lot wiser.

Lovely poem Val, as always; but you're not thinking of 'going' just yet I hope?
