Fortunate am I to reside
On the edge of the wilderness
Requiring only small effort
To reach little seen
Rainforests and lost country
Of my dreaming
Fortunate am I to swim
The pristine creeks and rivers
Of Cape York
In all its natural state
And welcoming generosity
Not fearing anything here
Except not seeing enough
In my limited lifetime
That this sacred place
Has simply to show
Both under blue sky
And under moonlight
Images leap out at me
Clear and natural
Like a succession of miracles
Wildlife abounds
Everywhere brightly saying
Hey Geoffrey mate
Come talk with us
Come sit with us
Come laugh with us
Come protect us
Who protect you
And your privilege
To be here under the
Tropic sun and stars.
.

Scenery that we can look at for hours as if it was a masterpiece painting. Well described Geoffrey, watch out for the crocs in them rivers.
Yes John. even though I am croc savvy I do keep my beady little eye open for that beady little red one looking back in my direction. Thanks mate. Cheers Geoffrey.
