The Razor - Poem by carol terry

i look at the razor in my hand
i see my reflection on the blade
i wanna scream
to get away
so i take the razor and trace the line of the vain
i suddenly go into a trance
all the sudden i hear sirens
no i think let me die
wake up a week later
parents by my side
it makes me more miserable
i think next time it will work
