The Ring Is In The Drawer Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Ring Is In The Drawer

Rating: 5.0

I despise you
But I can't help thinking of you
When you said you would give me anything
If I gave up my ambition
I said I want to try still
I have a lot to say
And the poetry comes naturally
It's the only thing I can do
Without regret
So, no, I will not let go
The ring is in the drawer

Could not be clearer, nor more humanly and sincerely felt. A poem of great inner reach and sincerity that also becomes very real and admired to the reader, himself. Enjoyed it a lot! To be kept close and also.read a lot. Love it!

You should at least offer it back, no?

2) So, one is absolutely in her/his rights to refuse promises of love with riders. Leave the ‘ring' in the drawer

Love, if true, does not demand anything in return, not even love. Let alone any minor sacrifice from the partner. Love teaches to love and respect talent

a promise to give anything, proves to be a lie, proves to be null and void; when a love for art poetry, is prohibited as a condition of acceptance; love is never intolerant of gift talent ambitions, love accepts essential individuality

I wrote the poem 'Requisite Partnership Rules Refused'. inspired by the poem 'The Ring Is In The Drawer', by the poet LeeAnn Azzopardi and dedicated to LeeAnn Azzopardi.

Don't ever let anyone stop you from saying what you have to say! You say it well.
