The Sail Poem by Cigeng Zhang

The Sail

They have been away from me
Early at a sleepy summer dawn
No longer saying 'good morning'
I stand on earth before sunrise
Keep watching the shifting dawn
A fancied sail on sailing, sailing
Between them and me, bound to heaven
All is carried off by the unreachable sail
I have a look at myself, feet and hands
Arms and legs - body empty, heart full
Eyes blurred, all in trance - am I sailing?
Yes, I feel I’m swinging on a devious sail

Wonderful poem, really enjoyed reading it. We are but just children sailing through the universe and life at the mercy of the winds of time.
