The Sky Beckons Poem by Khairul Ahsan

The Sky Beckons

Rating: 5.0

The sky beckons at me, day and night
Sometimes overcast, sometimes bright.
In the morn, noon, at the eve or night,
The clouds and the colors greet my sight.

From the bed, balcony or behind the grill,
I cast my sight and enjoy the thrill
Of the beauty, that would remain until
I write a few lines mentally, not by a quill.

Love to look at the sky anytime, any season,
She amuses me without a rhyme or reason
The spectrum of colors reflects like that of a prism
On my pensive mind, that's captive in its own prison.

It is always a pleasure looking at the sky, especially a clear sky. A cloud laden sky makes me a little melancholic.....! The spectrum of colors of the evening sky is thrilling.....Another beautiful poem, beautifully rhyming!

'The spectrum of colors of the evening sky is thrilling' - yes indeed! The sky and the other celestial bodies like the moon, the stars, the constellations have always amused me. As a hobby, I often click my cellphone camera at the clouds taking their pictures in different moods. Thank you Valsa, for reading my poem and as always, leaving an inspiring critique.
