The Song Was Touching Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

The Song Was Touching

Rating: 5.0

A beggar was singing in the moving train,
His beautiful voice was reaching its every lane,
And there I was a part of this good fortune,
As I was charmed by its excellent tune.

All were listening to it with rapt attention,
As if they had lost their motion,
The theme of the song was most shocking,
It was about the tragic defamation and illegal banishment of a reputed king
Who was gradually ruined in course of time,
The song was flowing from my vein to vein,
And I could almost witness the king who was in vain,
I was so much engrossed in it
That I could not know when the song had ended
But it was in my mind deeply ingrained.
