*the Summer's Wind

Rating: 3.4

THE SUMMER’S WIND!

As I walked the lonely beach the other day,
You had come in like the summer’s wind,
Blowing in from the sea miles away!
You blew around enclosing me with your
swirling turns,
And made me feel as if I was momentarily -
in your loving arms!
You rekindled memories of days when we
walked the beach hand in hand,
When we had playfully built our castles on
the golden sand!
Those days when your kisses were thousand
miles deep,
And I in your arms use to fall fast asleep!
Then with the turning of the tide you went
off into the sea,
Never looking back to see what has become
of me!
Now the waves wash my feet as I walk the
beach all alone,
And you remain in my mind playing like an
old summer’s song!

Raj, this is a simply lovely poem, romance and longing for, one who has sailed away. Of all the memories we have, those of lost loves, always seem to reappear. regards Bob 10+

Raj, I knew by the title I would love your poem and I do, so very much. I can feel the wind and your emotions ebb and fall as this picturesque poem closes to tie in so beautifully to The Summer Wind in the title. I feel photography would be an even more creative way to accompany this wonderful poem and can picture a woman walking into the sea with a flowing dress with her footprints leading down to the sea. 10 Karin Anderson
