She never taught me a thing
But Oh....How I learnt so much
How not, I want to be treated
How much, Love is truly valuable
Materials are so not needed
Trust is so hard to find
Dinner is simply a necessity
Want. Is a great big wish
Hope is waiting around the corner
Nothing is short of happening
Nature is straight out the back door
Magic is under that tree
Rainbows glow with their beauty
Whilst the storm
Gives that answer of nothing
Yet fills you with
The Wonder Of Something
Don't ever be a follower
Simply follow your own path
Breathe your own future
&
Remember
To always be an individual
As proud as you can be
There will always be someone
Who wants your friendship
Even if you do not see
NEVER THINK YOU ARE NOTHING
FOR YOU ARE TRULY SOMETHING!
Thank You Mum

NEVER THINK YOU ARE NOTHING FOR YOU ARE TRULY SOMETHING! Enjoyed this lovely poem ringing with hope and beauty!
So nicely speculated and penned. True and thrilling composition on hope and beauty. I like most lines are ... NEVER THINK YOU ARE NOTHING FOR YOU ARE TRULY SOMETHING! . TFS. .... 10
Such very special lessons have to be absorbed in the air you breathe at home.
(continued) .....as for: NEVER THINK YOU ARE NOTHING FOR YOU ARE TRULY SOMETHING! ...............that sounds vaguely familiar. oh, yes! ! my Mum/mom used to tell me (almost every day) : Bri, NEVER THINK YOU ARE SOMETHING FOR YOU ARE TRULY NOTHING! .............then she'd slap me. : ( to MyPoemList. bri :)
i don't understand this line: How not, I want to be treated..........an Australianism? Lyn, your Mum taught some fine lessons! several of them i'd adhere to. but i need Materials in the bathroom. and when on a sightseeing tour of Afghanistan i DO follow a leader; i'm a follower then! (to be continued) ....
yes every line you have penned down holds true and is a valuable lesson to all of us. Never underestimate yourself, aim for the moon, even if you miss you wil land amongst the stars ***
