This Holy Day Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

This Holy Day

Rating: 5.0

This snow-covered hills are ready
For the two-horse sleigh to come
While the house glitters upon the darkness
As the smoke floats from the chimney
Everyone is here waiting for ol' St. Nick to arrive
The children have made their lists
And they said their prayers
Hoping they were good enough
Not to get a piece of coal in their stockings
And the eggnog flows as the grow-ups dance
The night away
In the churches, the midnight services
Celebrate Chirst's birth
Desiring he will return to save the world
And be guiding light to peace
With no one being killed on this Holy Day
