Through The Dark Alley Poem by Romeo Della Valle

Through The Dark Alley

There once existed a place
Where the night air
Whispered fears and I
Wandered still amongst
The path so narrow in
The dark alley of my tears!

No stalker in the stillness
Of silence hiding though
Forbidden as it did seem
As I looked straight ahead
You were standing there
In the bright and shining light!

In humorous effect I offered you
My hand undaunted by his eery
Atmosphere as I kept you close
Beside me with a promise of hope
That the distant end was a place
Of innocence and love!

Wonderland had an alleyway
Though not painted with roses
Or fancy colors but we painted
Our own in a space profoundly
Distanced and adorned by
The decoration of our shining
Passion and fulfilling nuances
Of happiness and pure joy!
