Tightly Tied To Illusions Poem by C. P. Sharma

Tightly Tied To Illusions

Rating: 5.0

O man, Why this apathy for Lord’s praise!
Day and night, lost in the world of illusion,
How can songs of His glory in you blaze! 1. (Refrain)

Sons, friends, illusions and attachments
So tightly you have girdled around;
This world as deceitful as the mirage,
Its glitter takes you in merry-go-round.1.

Pleasures & salvation from Him flow
Only the fools forget the Lord;
Nanak, one among the millions glows
Singing hymns in the Grace of God.2.3.
Gaudi mė hlā 9.

A very reverant write, C P. It's true, man is often decieved by illusions created by things in life that glitter but have no basis in truth. A captivating poem indeed, my friend. Richard
