They say civilized society needs rules
They who don't follow them are mules
The civilized the laws of Nature flout
Try to knock them out with foul bouts
They sleep by day and work at night
Nightlife appears to them very bright
The perennial rivers are their bane
Them with dirt and, squalor they stain
The lion and the lamb live together
and fly together birds of the feather
But men, the enemy of own race
Deadly weapons their doom trace
The forests rich in varied wildlife
Forests, the very breath of life
The ruthless victims of Kal age
Rousing Nature's wrath and rage
Ghost of global warming stands
There is time to make amends
You can make peace with Nature
Give up pride, Nature is true guide
Such a great poem. Congrats for being picked twice..... A full 10+++++
Life! ! We all need rules! ! With the muse of righteous laws. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Oh dear, the rhymes are dreadful. I couldn't continue past the first stanza. If you have something important to say that needs to be given the fullest respect. Becoming a slave to form erases any impact that the content may have. And never hit the reader over the head with a hammer, whether it be in the service of form or content. No one enjoys being hit with a hammer. Try a little subtly.
'Ghost of global warming stands There is time to make amends' - yes, but the time is running out. Nature is our mother. We must respect her.
You, I and every human are part of the whole of nature. What better reason to respect and protect.
A great tribute to Mother Nature! And a timely reminder that we are running out of time! Mr. Sharma, Congratulations, on Poem Of The Day!
