How bitter and how hard is it,
To become a poet.
However, Poetry has its own rewards. And I think its wonderful attributes makes it the best and most rewarding art. The solace and pride we derived from our works are beyond measure that no amount of money can buy.
You write and phrase it so well Rose Marie. Solace and pride are so truly derived and money is insignificant indeed.
To weave poems are hard. It is a product of the heart and mind. We cannot just say something as what ordinary layman does.Poetry is an art. An encompassing art.
I agree, if your heart and mind are not in tune, so to speak, the outcome can be false and mundane. Blandness can be found everywhere but poetry art, true poetry has true colours.
A Poet thinks differently from many people. Poets are from that minority group that speak bold and beautiful because of the words that have been woven from the heart and mind. Sometimes people cannot understand nor comprehend and they criticize our works. And we feel bitter.
Sometimes even negative emotion can be called as part of a poet's armoury to express themselves. For nobody's perfect in life and the people around him or her. To err is human. But there is more good than bad out there, thankfully. And I'm glad it's that way. Thank you Rose Marie for your heart-felt and enlightening comments. Take care and I wish you well.
