Today - Poem by Kehinde Akintunde

Today I thought of you, wondering what you were doing and who you are with.

I haven't heard from you in a while. The last I heard you had a child.

I would like to hear from you, just an hello is all I ask.

Today as always, I was thinking about you.

When we met I thought, this was it. I had found you again. But I haven't heard from you in a while and the last I heard you had a child.

I would love to hear from you again and hear your voice. I don't mind if it is just hello and no other words spoken. I have so much to tell you.

Today I thought of you; After so long of thinking of you, never hear from you and the last I heard you had a child. I stopped thinking of you and waiting to hear from you.

I would really love to hear from you, just to let you know that after waiting so long for that hello. I also have had a child.

Today I thought of you. It has been years now and on this day your birthday. I thought maybe I should ring you, hear your voice, say hello and tell you that you have a child.

For Robert.
