'The day when God regretted making man'
I was in shock,
these words echoing to the depths,
of my soul
Disturbed, I fell into a dark shadow
of questions, hungering for balance
I weighed love on scales of reasoning
The differing facets on one side
with Gods attributes on the other
How can this be?
They equaled each other,
and I started to comprehend,
questioning one facet after another
A veil lifted from my eyes,
as I was ushered to the world of old,
yes, a world that God regretted placing man on
I took note of the absence of love,
as violence was as bread to them
Blood was shed on a grand scale
I heard the call for the cleansing rain,
accompanied with salvation for those obedient,
along with the animal kingdom
As I returned, the dark shadow has cleared
I looked at the world today
as déjà vu struck me with a sickening dread
Those faces of old were similar to the sea of mankind,
in this so called modern era
There is a place where the handwriting
is on the wall of tomorrow's sunset
It is a sunset that I shall not regret,
with the colors of love and justice,
lifting the hearts of many people
I pray, I be counted in among them
A much needed poem that raises valid points. The world is an imperfect place where man's blunders abound. It's natural to question the creation of the world. But there's hope in the last stanza which uplifts and rejuvenates the heart.
A thankless creature, always after destruction of self and other creations and creatures. Yes someday the sunset will be beautiful, graceful and full of happiness.
Awesome poem, it touched me to a great extent, I do keep wondering how God must be thinking about His creation (specially Humans) . Cont...2

Yes you will be counted among them. If only thru these sad but true fine verses, that do condense, the terrifying and immense sins lost souls and tyrants of this world with no mercy have presented. A deep and truly felt compassionate, masterpiece.
