Trains Rumbling Through The Night Poem by Walterrean Salley

Trains Rumbling Through The Night

Rating: 5.0

Trains rumbling
Through the night
Making all
Commerce bright.

To and fro
In their plight.
Dropping cargo
With delight.

Whistles blowing
At midnight.
Hear them sound
At each light.

And yet going
At firstlight,
Seems there is
No end in sight.

Tons of steel—
Awesome might;
Trains rumbling
Through the night.

The energy and strength and industrious might of trains, there is no parallel nicely done in a succinct verse.

Just a deligtful poem for my memory pool I love your simplistic brevity. Frankly, I miss them, now that I am a city boy. Very good
