Transference Poem by Valsa George

Transference

Rating: 5.0

Thousands dip in the Holy Ganges
And emerge clean
Making the holy waters filthy
Like the sewage from a drainage
This transference leaves
Many a holy place, unholy

We can only cleanse the soul through kind acts. There is no way to cleanse the body. I liked your poem nicely put.

Religious people have beliefs that taking dips in Ganges is holy but it isn't really, instead it makes unholy. Dip of the soul in spiritual knowledge-water is holy and it can make the mind free to get peace. A beautiful poem shared.

The impact of thousands seeking cleansing of the holy waters does take it's toll. A small verse that has sudden impact on the senses.10+
