Tramp Poem by Valsa George

Tramp

Rating: 5.0

His legs have grown weary n' weak
A heavy baggage on his back
Heavier still is the burden inside
A bumpy road ahead, no one to guide
No post to lower the weight awhile
The sun is about to set, the sky hostile
Desperately he tries to reach out to light
Before the day completely wears out to night

In this world, we are all tramps
Sometimes wading through the swamps
Often confused with the way unknown
And our paths rugged and torn
Expecting victory and defeat in turn
With burden on our backs, we move on!

Emotional baggage just kills and Physical baggage we all try to move on with it. Indeed we all are tramps on an unknown journey, faltring, rising and again faltering to reach the destination...One touchy poem.10 for this heart wrenching thoughts.

Some people are unfortunately tramps since there is nobody to support them;

We win, we lose. We live, we die. That is the story of life. Well written

This poem is a compact account of how we humans live our lives. 'We are all tramps, ' wading through life with our bag of memories, accumulated stuff, family, experiences, just looking for the next place to lay it down and rest awhile. Your writing brought The Things They Carried, and A Christmas Carol to mind. Thanks for sharing. An expressive piece of writing.

A touching poem on a bitter reality of life, how helpless we are, but it's our belief in God that we remain hopeful and with a burden on our backs, we move on.
