Sometimes to the beautiful we want to hold on to,
does wither and is gone before we can anything do:
almost everything hangs in the balance of time
but love, mercy and kindness do continue.

One single red rose (Persian quatrain)

(for Annelize)

One single red rose can tell how I do love you
or you can in resistance against all red roses continue,
to love there is nothing that can stop it:
as it is past the limitation of time true.
