Two Ways To Meet Death-But Poem by Indira Renganathan

Two Ways To Meet Death-But

Rating: 5.0

When one becomes old and infirm while death is just a mile away
Being too selfbound due to needless self-respect denying others' help..
Like suicide in the guise of self torturing hiding weak heart's yelp
Self-punishment it is towards death

When one becomes old and infirm while death is just a mile away
Being a slave-bound for serfdom and servitude due to fear of losing aid..
Like wantedly to get stabbed back and front letting dignity for a raid
Self-punishment it is towards death

When one becomes old and infirm while death is just a mile away
Which way to behave and get along is a thought of perplexity
Better a silent way to go whatever way comes your way, as for death..
It falls on you in silence and silence only anyway

A poetic reminder of date, but you don't have to be old, all ages through illness or misfortune face it too.
