We shall not be discouraged
From acting together,
By our differences in faith,
Color and race.
Our prejudices must be cast away,
And like the strings of a guitar,
UNITED,
We can create a song,
So alluring
And everlasting.

ONE definition of 'PREJUDICED': 'The act or state of holding unreasonable preconceived judgments or convictions.' WHO GETS TO say WHAT IS 'unreasonable'? ?
I like the poem. But doing away with 'prejudice' (which I doubt will EVER happen as long as we a 'human') will NOT end all wars and lesser conflicts.: (
For example, sickle-cell anemia occurs mostly in African Americans, so it is an identifying characteristic of that race. Color covers the pigmentation of the skin.
What harmony we can make if we could all get along. I envy the thought you had, humanity as a string of chords. Thats great creativity there. L
the reference to the strings of a guitar was EXACTLY well done! ! ! It gives a visual and auditory light to this poem--awesome write. Top marks! ! !
Our prejudices must be cast away, creating such a beautiful song of beauty, peace, and heart! .. Amazing! .. So Awesome! .. Way Beyond #'S! ..+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
