Hark! The end of the year is coming fast
And soon December will be past.
The new year will be an intrusion,
Unless, of course, time is an illusion.
The IRS has set a time for payment
For income taxes for each claimant
With the federal government in collusion,
Unless, of course, time is an illusion.
My wrinkles show the passage of time
Making it clear that I'm past my prime.
My birthdays are adding - there's no delusion,
Unless, of course, time is an illusion.
Every 10 years the government takes a census
And many scientists have made a consensus
That Einstein was the smartest to ever live
And here are some words that he did give:
'Time is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.'
How many have proved him wrong? There are none.
Einstein worked on his math 30 years in seclusion
And so, dear friends, here's my conclusion:
God made a universe that is too grand
For any mortal man to understand,
Unless, of course, time is an illusion.
A lot of people are confused. The know-it-alls in the Physics Forums delete my posts when I express doubt of their superiority.
My wrinkles show the passage of time and this is definitely fantastic to think about such illusion. This is difficult to observe and understand time but this poem is entirely thoughtful. Wise sharing.10
The assumption of a god denies any other supposition. Time is an as yet fully understood posit, but its seemingly illusory nature should not be misunderstood with supernatural assumptions with no evidence. The poem itself was nicely arranged and written.
Thanks for your compliment Kelly. Time and gravity are probably the least understood things in nature. I thought time might be linked to the expansion of the universe, but Stephen Hawking said that if the universe collapsed, time would still go forward. Richard Feynman said that the universe has multiple histories. Very mysterious.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Excellent. Unfortunately I don't think time is an illusion.
Thanks Barry. Neither do I.
