Disabled, or Divergently Abled,
Depends on individual point of view
As by personal path recently led
My parameter is now somewhat new
For any roadway that is very steep
Or too rocky to be traversed on wheel
For every stream I may no longer leap
Other paths, providence does reveal
For every mountain I can not climb
Beneath rests a peaceful valley green
Offering a view still quite sublime
Each majestic peak will yet be seen
For every Eagle that might soar too high
A Songbird will cheerfully flit close by
Watching the stallion gallop in the sun
I know the jubilance born of full run
Point of view is a peculiar thing
Originating not from eye alone
Drawing from the unique mindset we bring
Rises each vision we have ever known
Each day proceeds to offer something new
As one chapter ends the next has its start
There is no such thing as limited view
If you but search with unlimited heart
For every Eagle that might soar too high A Songbird will cheerfully flit close by That is the best out-look, wonderful view alround Love duncan X
This is one of the most finely composed, touching, humbling, accepting and optimistic pieces I have read in a long time. Thank you. t x
Mary this is such a powerful message sublimely conveyed. Thank you for this wonderful poem and for the wonderful comments you have gifted me with. I am always amazed at your innate knack for sensing the underlying emotion in every poem. Warm regards, Anita
In a way this sums up your poetry Mary. Unlimited view indeed. 'Religious' too. Thanks for reminding me about that comet in 1997 - still cannot spell it. By the way I know of 2 people who lost their dads the very same day under that comet. This poem here though is most positive, which I like. Paul.
Even being the eternal pessimist, I love this poem. Consistent throughout...and begrudgingly I accept and agree with your point of view. Coach
This is lovely. I think I am going to enjoy exploring your poetry, Mary. Thank you for the nice comments on mine.
Bravo, Mary, you've bought you unlimited heart to bear with this one. ~ R
May your journey always be as fulfilling as the angles and depth of your points you have reached here... kia kaha Deana

Some wonderful words to contemplate. Your attitude is certainly not disabled.
