Unreliable Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

Unreliable

Your eyes wear a mask
Your smile not real
You're haunted by this ordeal
Forever locked inside of the frame
Of a picture taken yesterday
Your empty promise broke in two
I thought I could count on you
''If I ran away
Would you follow me through the dark?
If I faded away
Would you care at all?
Would you catch me as I fall? ''
I finally now know...
Your heart's as black as a crow
Because I ran away
And you never stopped me
My soul slowly faded
You just let me be
I fell hard
But you allowed me to
Slowly fall apart
Is this what you wanted?
I thought I could count on you....
